ABOUT 6 DOZEN COOKIES; 90 CALORIES PER COOKIE
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
¾ cup packed brown sugar
2¼ cups all-purpose flour*
*If using self-rising flour, omit baking soda and salt
1 cup margarine or butter, softened
1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
Step 1 - Preheat oven to 375℉(190℃)
Step 2 - Mix sugars, margarine, and egg. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips.
Step 3 - Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Step 4 - Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. (Centers will be soft.)
Step 5 - Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet.
