This feature is in game, and when you get lost, or find another player, there is a map gui. This map gui will be in all types of servers apart from zombie survival servers.

I assume you mean MiniMap. only modded premium Minecraft has it, and the only classic client I know of that has it is OpenClassic, and it's not really necessary, classic maps aren't that big, if you seriously get lost you can just respawn by pressing "R"(default)
