Metro 2033 and it's sequel Metro: Last Light are two awesome games that take place in a post apocalyptic earth. The plot takes place 20 years after the war that took place in the summer of 2013 in the metro system of post apocalyptic Moscow, Russia. You play as a young Russian that travels through the Metro system for reasons that I wont reveal due to spoilers.
The game doesn't cover as much as the book does but it still shows an interesting perspective on how humans would adapt to the large changes brought by the nuclear apocalypse.
I love the two games so I recommend you try 2033 if you haven't tried either. I will warn you that the controls different than other popular first person shooters so if you do play it don't judge the game on the controls.

I loved both games, my only complaint is that the story seemed somewhat short. Overall they look amazing and are great games.
