I tried repetitively to change my skin and I didn't understand why it didn't change until I read in a forum post that you need to put your password to change it. You could have written a notice, I had a hard time.

At the moment, that portion of the account panel is automatically generated - I need to make a new one so that I can do fancier things with it.
