IDK if it is dire or not, but possibly an IP Thief that does a Disturbed Denial of Service attack using the Dire software.

Just to ease everyone here, that's not how DDoS work. Plus, it was actually Dire.

If you had no part in it, then how come your name was on the fake server’s software? Not like anyone is going through the effort to get the latest MCGalaxy, change the software’s name, compile it, and set it up...

The IP address the fake server was on wasn't linked to anything else, so can't conclusively be linked to anyone.
