How come i can not use online commands such as /sphere or /rainbow /maze in single player?

You've got /cuboid but that's it.
The server softwares are completely separate and aren't even written in the same programming language as the game.

I was about to say that, Unknown. You can't use those commands since they are limited to certain server software, therefore the only way of using them is either joining a server with appropriate software (which has commands like sphere, rainbow or maze), or coding them yourself.
